What is allthis?

It's a place where people share 10 minutes of their time. With someone who needs it the most.

How does it work?

At any given moment, there's a single ten-minute slice of each person's time available on allthis. You can add these slices to your Time portfolio.

Why would I want to add anyone's time to my portfolio?

1. To earn time credits
See someone whose time is clearly undervalued, like Mark Zuckerberg? Snap it up! You'll have an instant 5% gain on your investment when someone takes it away. And if Mark joins allthis while you're holding his time? Your investment will double!

2. When you want it for yourself
Thousands of users from all walks of life are sharing their time here. Whether it's for business, new friendships, or just for fun, allthis is the only guaranteed way to get ten minutes of someone's attention. You can then ask the person of interest to do something for you that can be done in about ten minutes online: answer an e-mail, chat on Skype, record a video, help set up Wordpress, draw a cartoon, retweet a tweet, help a startup choose the best home page... The possibilities are endless.

How do I know that someone needs my time the most?

Because to get your attention, they were willing to invest more time credits than anyone else.

What are time credits?

Time credits are a virtual currency for trading ten-minute time shares. New members get 10,000 time credits to start, and the value of their ten minutes is set to 2400. Every time a ten-minute share is added to a time portfolio, the value automatically goes up 10%. After a few times, it can get pretty high, like Steven Weber's. And when Mark Zuckerberg joins allthis, it's a safe bet that the value of his time will skyrocket!

What can I use my time credits for?

To get attention from other users, in ten-minute chunks. You can also turn them into cash donations to any of over a million nonprofits represented at allthis

How do I get more time credits?

You can buy them with a credit card or earn them by adding undervalued ten-minute time slices. Every time someone takes a time slice away from you, you get back 5% more time credits than what you invested in it. The other half of the value increase goes to the person whose time it is, so if your own time is in demand, you'll see your time credits grow and multiply.

What is Time portfolio?

It's the list of all ten-minute time slices you are currently holding.

What's on the Supporting list?

The non-profits you've supported in the past or are planning to support in the future by converting some or all of your time credits into cash donations.

I found an allthis user whose ten minutes I need. What do I do?

If you see the Add button on the user's profile, click on it!

What's the difference between "Add" and "Redeem"?

Adding someone's time slice to your Time portfolio starts the 24-hour waiting period before you can redeem it. Once the wait is over, you will see the Redeem button. Click on it if and when you want to use that person's time.

What if I need someone's time and that person is not a member?

You can still add this person's ten-minute slice to your Time portfolio. When he or she becomes a member, the value of that slice will automatically double. So invite your friends to join allthis -- but add their time to your Time portfolio first. It's the fastest way to get additional time credits.
